It has been a week since I managed to post anything new…. a lot has been going on.
We attended a family funeral and I’ve been unwell, something unexpected, with the potential to be bad, although I am now on the improve. So basically, two major things that create conversation topics not usually discussed, as well as a time of reflection.
Here are some conclusions I have reached….
We are extremely fortunate to have the health care system we have in Australia. I have taken it for granted at times, but should never begrudge paying Medicare through tax…
Family is well … everything… support, encouragement, advice, as well as physical assistance when you just can’t do the things you want or need to. The care and support of friends can’t be under-estimated either… people who care about you, make you feel better about yourself.
Find what makes you happy and make sure you do it as often as possible.
Look after yourself because others rely on you to be there for them too.
Share more of yourself with people, because at the end, they become the memory of who you were.
I can’t preach on this, but I plan to really try to take better care of myself.
I am so very lucky…. I have the most incredible husband, I could list everything he does, but frankly I don’t want you to be jealous. I also have great Sons and amazing Parents, super loyal friends and lots of people who know me and want to help if they can. I love our house and adore my dogs, but I also get to do a job I love… I love our shop, I enjoy talking to our customers… so there is much to be thankful for.
Ohh and I almost forgot it was also my Birthday… but that opens up a whole other can of worms. xx
